this is what i want!!! freedom!! i feel freeeeeee............. free after finishing all my three stages of simulated teaching this morning. could you imagine, we sat in the hall from 8 am until 12.45 pm. it was terrible, but luckily, we all have done done it except for Syazwan. he was not feeling well. how the story goes??
overall, it was okay. the night before, i slept a bit late to prepare my teaching aid. luckily my friend, Ziham helped me cutting the extracts. i really wanted to do my best for it. i planned my lesson and activities very well so that they were connected to each other. however, there was limitation for me. i only have one extract in the book "Now Read On". thus, i have to really make use of it. i chose the topic on how the point of view developed the character in the play. i designed the activity based on the extract to make it real and it worked! hahah. my teaching, huh! not really good i supposed. i have problems in speaking and grammar. it was normal i thought but it was a crime for TESL student. i will improve it in future, as well as my teaching skills. i followed exactly my procedure but one thing i left behind - i forgot to ask students how the could arrange the paragraphs (pre reading). what elements they consider in doing that activity. after all, it worked well i supposed.
this was my last battle for this semester. now, i'll be busy preparing myself for final. this monday...the sudden death....
OH MY GOD..IT WAS A MORNING TO BE REMEMBERED...the class was too long and i went to the toilets for five times ! it was like watching two hindi movies back to back.can you see the tons of worksheet that we got this morning ...i think it was enough for supplying the whole standard one students for a year worksheets.
ReplyDeleteI would say that micro teaching this morning was really testing my patience ..( we are not talking about how happy we were writing evaluation form here)..i came early for class and i only managed to present at 12 noon. Much longer than waiting for delayed flight of Air Asia !!
Don't worry,i think your presentation was good. At least , you brought fresh and new environment to the class this morning. Maybe, you could ask more participation from our " tired" students. It would make your micro teaching better. You had a very good teacher presence and your deliverance was loud and convincing. Credit for you was, you able to grasp student's attention through your attitude and personality. You had both factors, what you need now is to gear up for more and more
